The Anchorage Stable's principals are John C. Marker, Julie Marker and David Schwartz. John and Julie Marker have over 40 combined years owning, racing and breeding thoroughbreds in Kentucky. David Schwartz has over 30 years of experience in the thoroughbred business as an owner, trainer and breeder. Mr. Schwartz has bred famous horses that have won
G1 races including a Breeeders Cup race.

G1 Breeders Cup Distaff were both bred by Mr. Schwartz. He has personally selected weanlings for clients and himself that have later sold as yearlings or 2 year-olds for over $1 Million Dollars. We have won races at Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Saratoga, Belmont, Aqueduct, GulfStream, Oaklawn, Calder, Ellis Park, Turfway, Woodbine and Remington Park and enjoyed and celebrated each winnings. We have used many trainers over the years. We try to select the right trainer for each horse. Our trainers in the past have included, Rick Dutrow, Kenny McPeek, Dale Romans, Hal Wiggins, Frank Carlisi, Bobby Barnett and Jason Cook. We are always looking for the right trainer and will augment our list as required.
